π§ Are You Ready for Change?
This time last year, I made a big change.
And if you're reading this, maybe something in you is stirring too.
Sometimes we know exactly what we want to change. Other times, we just feel off β like something isnβt quite working anymore.
Maybe you're feeling stuck.
Tired.
Not quite yourself.
Or maybe you're ready to finally take back some control β of your time, your energy, your health.
But where do you begin?
Meaningful change starts with understanding what really supports us β and thatβs exactly why I created the Pine Vale Compass.
I wanted to create something that gave a clear overview of the things that truly matter. A way to step back and see the bigger picture.
This framework brings together both our core human needs and the deeper self-development work β offering a clear and practical way of thinking about your wellbeing, and your life as a whole. Itβs something we can keep coming back to. A guide to help build a life that feels purposeful, satisfying, and truly ours.
I created it firstly for me.
Secondly, for my kids β so that one day, if they ask, I have a way to explain it to them.
And finally, for you β and anyone else who might find it helpful.
None of this is brand new. I didnβt invent these ideas β but Iβve brought them together in a way that made sense to me. And maybe it will make sense to you too.
I know that when you're just getting started, these things can feel like a lot. So Iβve made it simple.
This month, weβre using a familiar tool β the Wheel of Life β reimagined using the Compass to help you reflect, realign, and take your next small step forward.
π No pressure. No big declarations. Just honest reflection and small shifts that make a big difference over time.
Head into The Lodge to access your Wheel of Life worksheet β plus a few thoughtful prompts to guide your reflections.
But first, a quick look at the Pine Vale Compass.
You donβt have to figure it all out today.
But this could be your first step.
π§ The Pine Vale Compass
A simple tool to help you reflect, realign, and move forward.

Your centre: Your anchors
At the the heart of the Compass are your three personal anchors:
Your Life β your sense of purpose, values, and direction.
Your Adventures β the activities and experiences that energise and inspire you
Your Wellbeing β your overall sense of physical, mental and life satisfaction.
These three shape one another. When you begin to understand what really matters to you, you can start making choices that feel more aligned with how you want to live and life often feels more balanced and fulfilling.
The key word here also is your.
This is your life. Your adventures. Your wellbeing.
Your role in all this matters. You decide what to do with it and how to live it.
The four compass points: Your cornerstones:
The outer four sections represent four foundation areas that support and interact with your centre, each is made up of three essential elements.
πΏ 1. Physical
How you fuel and care for your body.
Movement β Strength, mobility, flexibility, endurance
Nutrition β Energy, nourishment, balance
Rest β Sleep, recovery, stillness, slowing down
These are the basics your body needs to function and thrive. Without this physical foundation, everything is harder to sustain.
π§ 2. Mental
Your mindset, habits, and ability to follow through.
Resilience β Coping with challenge, managing stress, inner strength
Discipline β Consistency, focus and habits
Organisation β Structure, planning, clarity.
This is how you think, focus, cope, and take action. Itβs what creates momentum and direction.
π€ 3. Connection
Feeling part of something β within yourself and beyond.
Spiritual β A sense of meaning or connection to something bigger than yourself - whether through nature, creativity, values, faith or personal rituals
Relationships β Your interactions with others β communication, boundaries, and support all live here.
Belonging β Feeling seen, accepted, part of something real.
When we feel disconnected β from others, our values, or ourselves β itβs hard to thrive. This area helps restore that connection.
𧱠4. Stability
Your foundations of security and steadiness.
Safety β Feeling physically and emotionally safe, or feeling protected.
Provision β Meeting basic needs, food, shelter, income, time.
Mentorship β Guidance and support from others (and in time being a mentor yourself)
This is about feeling safe, supported, and resourced. Stability gives you the space and confidence to grow.
Now what?
A framework like this offers a starting point for reflection, a way for you to notice: Where am I doing well? What might need more care or attention?
You donβt need to βfixβ everything overnight.
You just need a place to begin.

Lets go!
